Aladja Monastery (3 km) - one of the few preserved and accessible rock monasteries in Bulgaria, dating from the early Middle Ages and of enormous cultural significance. Pobitite Kamuni (36 km) - meaning "Rammed Stones", these stone structures were formed by erosion around 50 million years ago and contain numerous fossils. Many of these stones served as places of worship during the Thracian, Slavonic and ancient Bulgarian periods.
