Welcome to the Ordino valley.Located in the far North West of the Principality of Andorra, with a surface area of 89.3 km 2 and at 1,300 meters in Ordino town, 1,654,8 meters at El Serrat, 2,740 meters at Casamanya, 2,539 at Port del Rat, 2,878 at Pic de Tristaina and 2,395 at Port de Siguer. The population is presently 2,485 (December 2002), spread among the various villages that shape the valley: Ordino, Segudet, Sornàs, Ansalonga, La Cortinada, Arans, Llorts, and El Serrat. The Ordino valley has many attractive features. The Ordino valley offers an exceptional environment throughout the year; we have learnt to preserve its integrity and authenticity and to conserve and protect the environment, offering you the opportunity to discover and enjoy nature and culture. Totally integrated into its natural surroundings, the snow resort at Ordino-Arcalís is spread over 442 ha between the heights of 1,940 and 2,620 metres. Its orientation and geographical situation guarantee the quality and quantity of snow throughout the season, and the strategic placement of the lifts (5 chair-lifts and 8 drag-lifts), together with its transport capacity (16,510 persons/h) and the wide variety of slopes enable one to ski without crowds. The resort has 2 self-service restaurants, 1 high mountain restaurant, sun terraces, ski equipment hire, transport services, 1,500 parking spaces at the foot of the slopes, etc., and preserves the equilibrium and purity of this exceptional place. In spring, summer and autumn, outside the winter season, the Ordino valley fills with colour and from May until November, we propose that you discover it, through interpretative walking trails that enable you to enjoy and recognise the flora of Sorteny Natural Park,the routes of livestock transhumance, the iron trail, the Romanesque trail with churches such as St. Corneli and St. Cebrià or St. Martí in La Cortinada, the Andorran panorama to discover the high mountain and the calcareous formations, the history of agriculture and livestock farming, the lakes of Angonella and Tristaina from the Sorteny Natural Park, a real botanical paradise, where you can find more than 700 different species of plants and flowers, some of which are unique to the Pyrenees. Cataperdis, the history of the woods and the wood industry with a visit to the Mill and Sawmill at Cal Pal and the Mill at Mas d’En Solé……… The walking trails in Ordino valley are king, accompanied by our team of mountain guides. The tourist office wants you to enjoy and discover the culture, nature and traditions of our valley. For the most intrepid, in this valley, you can taste adventure with canyoning, rock-climbing, via ferrata, the adventure circuit, mountain bike or horse riding. Other attractions to be found in the Ordino valley throughout the year are: The National Auditorium of Andorra. The Areny Plandolit Museum, the Nicolai Siadristy Microminiature Museum, the Sant Jordi Iconographic Museum, the Postal Museum, the Pin Museum, the different villages that fill the valley with their Romanesque churches. At every village in the Ordino valley, at every stone and every step, the magical echoes of the past can still be heard. In July 2000, the Nature Interpretation Center of the Ordino valley , was opened, conceived as a doorway to the valley, which is a museum in itself. At the Center, you can discover the Ordino valley through nature and the guideline of water. Along a route, divided into habitats, you can learn to recognize the different types of flora and fauna to be found in the valley. This Center, conceived as an interactive space, will open up your senses and reveal a world of new sensations, which you can then expand with visits to the valley. Closely linked to the Center are the various suggested walks, such as the restoration of the Mine at Llorts- which between the 17th and 18th centuries was one of the areas for extracting iron ore for the forges. One of the vestiges of this activity, usually in the open-air, is this small mine shaft from the 19th century. There are also botanical interpretation trails at Llorts and Sorteny. Nature, culture, sports and tradition join in perfect harmony to make up the valley, Ordino valley. Moreover, throughout the year, to be enjoyed after skiing or a whole day in contact with nature, a whole series of events take place in the valley: In March and April, the season of mountain cinema; in July, August and September, town festivals, street theatre, open nights, the Horse Festival, the Adventure Sports Raid, the Andorran Gastronomic Fair, the Narciso Yepes International Fair, the Bagpipers’ Gathering, the Borrufa Trophy, the Bowling Championships, the mountain Triathlon, the Summer Crossing, photo and painting exhibitions, children’s shows and conferences.

Travel Information : In order to get to Ordino follow the road through Andorra la Vella and carry on straight to La Massana-Ordino. Once in Ordino, follow directions to the city center. The entrance to our hotel is signposted to your right.

Food & Beverages : Our restaurant offers traditional food prepared with fresh products from local market. During the week, our menu is based on typical Andorran cuisine and mediterranean style dishes. And for dessert, once a week you will enjoy our crepes.
