Region Information : Major developments in the 1980s included the Palais Omnisports stadium (1984) and the Ministry of Economy and Finance (1989). The 1990s sax the construction of the new National Library (1996), redevelopment of the Bercy Park (the "Garden of Memory") over 33 acres – Paris's largest redevelopment project since Baron Haussmann – ad the opening of the Ciné Cité Bercy multiplex (18 screens, 4.500 seats, movies in original language versions with subtitles). An array of entertainment and exhibition areas (Musée des Arts Forains) have been created, while superb pavilions and warehouses are being converted into lifestyle boutiques and trendy restaurants. A new footbridge will shortly link the National Library (quai François Mauriac) to the Parc de Bercy and the "Coulée Verte", a landscaped walking path that stretches several kilometers over the "Viaduc des Arts".

Food & Beverages : The "POINT BAR", which opens up onto the entrance hall, features Honduras mahogany and a bistro-style "zinc" bar, surrounded by low pedestal tables and large, comfy armchairs upholstered in warm colors. In the center, the grand piano serves to complete the atmosphere, with modern music every evening from 18:30 to 1:00 in the morning. Last, there is also a library where guests can enjoy a moment of escapism. A symbol of France and her literary traditions, the Sofitel Paris Bercy library contains works on art, painting and photography, together with books about Paris, the Eternal City. There is also a wide selection of literary classics and contemporary novels available in several languages (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Greek, etc Very first four-star hotel in the east Paris, the Sofitel Paris Bercy, offers a restaurant whose name, Café Ké, alludes its location on the banks of the Seine. The executive chef, Eric Sanchez, is a strong proponent of quality regional products

Room Information : Third person permitted. Connecting rooms on request. Bathrobe, slippers, bathtub and shower, climate control, interactive TV, complimentary ADSL and desk in all rooms. The general atmosphere of the interiors is clear, bright, cheerful and, above all, serene: white marble floors, wood surfaces, clean lines for the furniture, soft-coloured, sponge-painted walls and patios planted with olive trees. And, for contrast, dotted with touches of warm, rich shades of color. The new “MyBed” is emblematic “sleep by Sofitel”. With an extremely generous size and plump duvet, “MyBed” says “sleep” right from the first glance, a return to memorably sumptuous comfort. Not to mention sleeping soundly, the way you haven’t in years …! “MyBed” of course features natural materials like down and feather filling and cotton, while the mattress and box spring integrate the latest advances in contemporary bedding to guarantee even, balanced support. The real secret, though, is the combination of featherbed, duvet and pillows

Cancelation Policy : Before 18.00 hours on the date of arrival. Otherwise, the hotel will charge the amount corresponding to the first night on the credit card. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.

Hotel Information : In a building bathed in light, beautifully proportioned, intelligent (all rooms with ISDN connection) and refined comfort, creating a perfect balance between a spaciousness and intimacy, modernity and the past, the Sofitel Paris Bercy has been designed to stand in an environment where the contemporary refers back to the past. With its elegant architecture, a play on concepts of light and transparency, the Sofitel Paris Bercy rises "like a ship's bow made of glass gliding out over the Seine" (Philippe Chamblas – Cabinet M. Macary - Architect).
