Breakfast includes a self-service buffet featuring breads, croissants, cheeses, scones, cold meats, fresh fruits, yoghurts and cereals. Orange, apple and cranberry juices, coffee, tea, herbal teas and hot chocolate are all available to accompany your breakfast. Guests can also enjoy a full cooked Irish breakfast with bacon, eggs, sausages, black and white pudding, fried tomatoes and toast. Whatever you have planned, the generous and tasty traditional Irish breakfast is a great way to start your day.

Short description : In the heart of the city of Galway, this purpose-built bed and breakfast offers bright, comfortable and attractive en suite rooms in a great location. Amber Lodge is just 3 minutes’ walk from Galway’s bus and railway stations. The lodge is also within easy reach of all that the city has to offer, including its vibrant nightlife. Galway’s shops, pubs, bars and restaurants are all nearby. The convenient location and excellent transport links make Amber Lodge a great base for exploring the region. With the lodge as a comfortable and relaxing base, you can visit Connemara, the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. Each room is well equipped, with satellite TV, a DVD player, wireless internet access and tea/coffee making facilities. The lodge’s facilities include a TV room/guest lounge, a free internet station and a relaxing hot tub in the charming gardens.

Hotel Information : At the end of a long day spent exploring the area, you can relax in the lodge’s hot tub, which is situated out on the attractive decking area in the rear garden. Parking at the lodge is limited and cannot be guaranteed. When the car park is full up, guests can park on the street. It is free to park on the street from 18:00 until 08:00 every day and all day on Sundays. Please note that Amber Lodge does not have a lift.

Room Information : As Amber Lodge is a city centre bed and breakfast, some of the rooms are compact. There are 14 rooms, including double, twin and triple rooms, which have one double bed and one single bed. Many rooms have scenic views of Lough Atalia and the Clare Hills. Each room is bright, comfortable and spotlessly clean. All of the attractive rooms are well equipped, with all the modern comforts and facilities you need in a restful, relaxing base.

Travel Information : By Car (from Cork Airport or ferry port): - Follow the signs towards Limerick/Galway. - Limerick is approximately 65 miles (105 km) from Cork. - Take the Limerick bypass and drive in the direction of Ennis /Galway on the N18. - Follow the signs for Ennis/Galway. - Approaching Oranmore, take the 2nd exit on the roundabout onto the dual carriageway. - At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit, onto the N6. - At the Martin roundabout, take the 1st exit, - At the Skerrit roundabout, take the 2nd exit. - Continue straight on, through the next set of traffic lights. - After approximately 400 metres, you will pass the G Hotel on your right, just before the Ffrench roundabout. - Move to the left-hand lane and take the 1st exit on the roundabout. - Continue on for approximately 200 metres. - The road divides just before the traffic lights, move to the right-hand lane and continue through the traffic lights and up the hill. - Continue straight on, passing the greyhound track on the right. - Amber Lodge is approximately 400 metres past the greyhound track, on the left-hand side. By Car (from Dublin – Galway ): - Leaving Dublin Airport or ferry port, take the M50 motorway towards the M4 West. - From the M50, take the exit for the West of Ireland onto the N6. - On approaching Oranmore, take the 3rd exit at the roundabout and then follow the directions above. By Car (from Rosslare ferry port – Galway): - From Rosslare, drive in the direction of Wexford onto the N25. - From Wexford head to New Ross on the N25 for approximately 20 miles (32 km). - Then from New Ross head towards Clonmel on the N25/N24 via Waterford for approximately 20 miles (32 km). - Take the Clonmel bypass and drive in the direction of Limerick via Tipperary on the N24. - From Limerick follow the directions above, as for Cork/Shannon By Car (from Sligo – Galway): - Leaving Sligo, take the N17 to Galway. - Arriving in Clare, Galway, continue on the N17 (Tuam Rd) towards Galway for approximately 5 miles (8 km). - At the Font roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Tuam Road - R336 (signposted city centre). - You will pass the Travelodge on the left-hand side after approximately 0.5 miles (0.8 km). - At the Joyce roundabout, take the 1st exit down Moneenagisha Hill (signposted Dublin Rd). - Move to the right-hand lane. - At the Ffrench roundabout, take the 3rd exit. - The road divides just before the traffic lights, move to the right-hand lane and continue through the traffic lights and up the hill. - Continue straight on, passing the greyhound track on the right. - Amber Lodge is approximately 400 metres past the greyhound track, on the left-hand side.

Cancelation Policy : Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet: Wireless internet is available in public areas and is free of charge.
