Short description : Dalescroft is a town house built in 1908 for the managers of Rowntree's Chocolate Factory.
Dalescroft is registered with the English tourist board with a 3-star classification. We are 400 yards from the medieval city wall and in the Bishopthorpe Road area of York, a quiet place to park the car with our free permits and take a lovely stroll along the river into the city.
Dalescroft is perfectly placed just 10 minutes walk from the beautiful city of York and the many attractions the city has to offer.

Room Information : Double room.
Lovingly decorated in quiet colours and assuring a warm comfy sleep. Room sleeps 2 but can be used by single with a reduced rate.
Twin room.
Tastefully redecorated in warm colours and assuring a warm and comfy stay.
Family room.
Large room with superking bed and single bed, this room can also be used as a triple room (3 single beds). Comfortable stay assured.
Food & Beverages : Breakfast is served from 08:00 to 09:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00 to 09:30 at weekends.
Full English breakfast or breakfast of your choice includes tea (flavoured or breakfast) or coffee (regular or decaff), a choice of white or wholemeal bread, fresh fruit, and cereals.
Region Information : Dalescroft is in the Bishopthorpe Road area on the south-west side of the city where there are restaurants, shops and hairdressers. 0.2 miles (0.5 km) takes you to the River Ouse and the splendour of the city.

By Car:
- Take the york west approach A1036.
- Turn left at the 1st set of lights.
- Go past Tesco on the left towards the city centre.
- Go 1 mile (1.6km), passing the racecourse on the right. -
- Go through the 1st set of lights then take the right lane. -
- Turn right into Scarcroft Road. (Kwik fit will be on your left.)
- Follow the road to where the side streets go up to your right.
- You need Russell Street. Go to the top and turn left; we are the 1st guesthouse.
Taxi:
Dalescroft is a short taxi ride from railway and bus stations.
Bus: Across the road from the railway station take the number 11 and ask for Southlands Chapel; this is also Southlands Road.
Please advise time of arrival and mode of transport so we can have permits ready for cars.
