Short description : Family run hotel in the south part of Zell am See (part Schüttdorf/Bruckberg), only 500 meters from the Areit cable-car which brings you to the Schmittenhöhe and the shopping area.
There is a free ski bus stop in front of the hotel; cross country tracks and winter walking paths begin just around the corner; perfect in summer.
The hotel is only a 3 minutes walk form the golf course (25% greenfee) and free bike rental is available at the hotel.
Room Information : Just relax and feel good in our 3 and 4-star cosy and fully furnished rooms.
All rooms boast shower/toilet, telephone with internet access for your notebook, cable TV and safety deposit box. Balcony available in our double rooms and rooms with more than one bed. Special family maisonette rooms available on request.
Travel Information : By car - from Germany:
Motorway Munich - Salzburg (A 8) : exit at Siegsdorf (B306) then take the Inzell (B312), then via Lofer (B311) and Saalfelden. Before Zell am See, take the tunnel Schmittentunnel for about 5 km. Exit the tunnel and turn right direction Kaprun/Mittersill. At the traffic lights, carry on straight ahead for about 500 meters, then you will find the hotel on your right side: Gasthof Tauernstüberl.
Please note: you won’t use any Austrian motorways so you do not have to buy the Vignette.

Food & Beverages : Have a seat in our cosy restaurant - either in the old area or in the modern area. You will find the hotel's bar in the new part of the restaurant.
Come and enjoy the typical Austrian cuisine with regional, light and healthy snacks, international specialities and homemade sweets. In the summertime, there is a barbecue once a week and a farmers' buffet. During the winter season, there is a fondue evening once a week and farmers buffet.
Region Information : Europa-Sport-Region Zell am See/Kaprun is only 1 hour by car from the "Mozart-City" Salzburg and the "See und Schnee" (lake & snow Kitzsteinhorn-glacier).
During the whole year; it has the highest quality air and water, a wonderful old town centre, museums and an almost limitless range of recreational and leisure activities.
