Hotel Information : Legendary since 1936, this prestigious central hotel has been home to kings, princes and presidents alike and is located in Athens’ golden quarter. Strategically situated in a privileged position between the Parliament and Voucourestiou Street, the Athenian Sloane Street known for its nightlife, business and luxury, the hotel deserves its worldwide eminence. This hotel was created for people who recognise quality and demand excellence. Combining the elegance and stature of a historic landmark, the hotel houses ultra-modern amenities and personal service that places guests' comfort above all else. This important aspect is maintained right down to a personal trainer in the state-of-the-art health club. A proud member of the Leading Hotels of the World, this is the only hotel in Athens among the 75 Top Europe Hotels of the Conde Nast Traveler U.S.A. Reader’s Choice Awards. It was also honoured on the 2005 Hot List and the 2007 Gold List.

Room Information : The hotel houses 101 ultra-luxurious guestrooms, individually decorated with a rich residential feeling, complemented by the latest technology combining with the antique furniture and Murano chandeliers. David Copperfield and Christina Aguilera profess a weakness for the Royal Penthouse Suite which redefines the concept of luxury as it occupies the entire ninth floor, with wall paintings by Konstantin Kakanias and a terrace that incorporates a private pool, jacuzzi and an unsurpassed view of the Parthenon. Woody Allen and Ennio Morricone prefer the King George II Suite where the balconies look out over Constitution Square.

Food & Beverages : Located on the seventh floor overlooking the Acropolis, the Tudor Hall is Athens’ most acclaimed gourmet restaurant, boasting a Greco-French menu by galloping Gallic gourmet Alain Ducasse. It is open from 07:00 to 11:00, for lunch from 12:30 until 16:30, then for dinner from 19:00 until 00:00. On the ground floor, the T Palace all day lounge bar and restaurant is the best place for a rendezvous, an after work drink and dinner parties. It is a place where you can stay for hours to drink, eat or listen to music played by DJ's. It is open from 09:00 until 02:00.

Region Information : Ideally located on Constitution Square, this hotel is one of the most famous landmarks in Athens, resting in the heart of the business and shopping district and within walking distance of the Acropolis, Old City (Plaka) and most of the city's sights and attractions. The King George Palace was originally built as a small urban palais that served as an annex to the palace, which then occupied the building that houses Greece’s Parliament on the square’s eastern flank. Later, it served briefly as the prime minister’s residence before being acquired by a Greek businessman who added several floors and converted it into a hotel. One of its 1st guests was King George II, who made it his haunt. In the 50s, 60s and 70s, it was also the favourite hotel of international celebrities, magnates, world leaders and movie stars like Aristotle Onassis and Maria Kallas, Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier of Monaco, Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot, Frank Sinatra and Francois Mitterand.
