- take the Ring Road around Antwerp, towards Gent
- exit at Afrit 5A, Antwerpen Centrum
- follow directions for Schelde
- at the first traffic lights (Bolivar plaats) turn left
- continue following signs for Schelde
- go straight on until you come to Scheldekade (traffic lights).
- turn right
- follow the road up to the third traffic lights, turn onto the Suikerrui
- after 100m, on your left is the Grote Markt and on your right the Hoogstraat, go straight on the Oude Koornmarkt
- on the Oude Koornmarkt, immediately turn left, to the Handchoenmarkt, this is the square in front of the Cathedral
