Short description : In the National Geographic Traveler magazine, Apr. 2003 issue, on page 59, you can read: The owner of Lilium, Annibale Batosi, is an abstract painter with exuberant and secure eye for interior decor. Opened in Sep. 2002 the hotel occupied one floor of a 1924 building on a busy street. Australian songbirds welcome you to the lobby, and serene blue hallways lead to high ceiling rooms with painted armoires and color-coordinated with the sheets. Everything in the sunny place is nicely up-to-date; firm mattresses, air conditioning in every room, well-conceived bathrooms. Check in and you will be among the first to stay at a hotel that's earning a serious following. Best rooms: Superior rooms are particulary quiet and have plant-filled terraces. The Liliumhotel is an exclusive small Hotel located in an antique building in the north-east side of city center, only a few minutes away from Via Veneto. It offers a very relaxing atmosphere and the young staff welcome the guests with plenty of care. Every room is smartly furnished, ornamented with a flowers design and painted in a different colour. This simple but fine design, gives a unique charm that makes a difference providing a warm mediterranean atmosphere.

Each room's characterized by a different pastel shade and correlated with a flower which gives its name to the room. Bedtables, desks and wardrobes are tone in tone with the walls and decorated with water colour paintings of that flower. The Hotel has two kind of rooms: Standard rooms and Superior rooms wich are very quite and have nice flowering terraces. Design bathrooms are all covered with water green mosaics.

Travel Information : From Fiumicino airport: you can get the air-terminal to Termini station (central station) then you can take bus #38 or #92 and get off after three stops, or take a taxi (5-10 Euro), or take a walk (10 minutes). Coming with the car: you will arrive at the "Grande Raccordo Anulare" or "GRA", a sort of ring street sorrounding Rome. Take it and drive to arrive on the north-est side to an exit named "Nomentana", you will have to exit there and take Via Nomentana (street) in the direction of centre. After 12 km you will arrive at "Piazza di Porta Pia", the entrance of centre (you can recognize it because it is sorrounded by ancient walls and you will pass at the right of a big door), enter and continue till the first cross (Via Nomentana has become Via Venti Settembre and the cross is with Via Piave). After the cross, the first building on the right side of the street is the Hotel's one.

Hotel Information : The hotel offers a spacious hall, more than 4-metre-high ceiling, small wrought iron balconies around the windows in half circle, and large Liberty period windows. Main colour are light purple and turquoise typical of the Liberty period which create an entirely new style contrasting with the more traditional hotel stereotype. The breakfast room has water green and soft pink colours, inspired by Preraphaelesque aesthetics. It is furnished with an impressive and splendid brass coffee machine designed according to the original one built in Brasil at the beginning of the 20th century. We are open all year and there is a 24/7 porter service. At the check out you can leave your luggage at the Hotel for the day. Close to the hotel there's a 24 hours garage that makes a pick up service of your car and bring it back to you at your request.

Region Information : We are located in the north-east side of city center. Near to us (within 5 minutes by feet) you will find Via Veneto (Fellini's "La dolce vita"), Villa Borghese (Galleria Borghese), Diocleziano's Terme where is the National Roman Museum, the beautiful Michelangelo's Porta Pia and the church S. Maria della Vittoria where is the famous Bernini's statue "Estasi di Santa Teresa". From here you can arrive by bus to the Colusseum and other ancient Roman's vestiges like in any other part of the centre in 10 minutes. Walking you can arrive in a short time to: Spanish Steps in only 10 minutes, Trevi's Fountain 15 minutes, Colusseum in 25 minutes. Only Vatican City is a little far, but that's because it's out of the center (20 minutes by bus). Nearest Metro stop: Repubblica (5 minutes by feet). Train Station (Termini) is only 10 minutes by feet, or 3 bus stops. At 50 meters by the Hotel you will find a bus stop where is possible to take buses for Vatican and the Colusseum (they pass every 10 minutes).
